Getting around
Common questions
What do "generated", "reviewed", "used" and "verified on a board" mean?
They are separate facts and never stand in for one another. Generated: a tool or model produced it. Reviewed: you checked it. Used: you designed it in or have experience with it. Verified on a board: it was measured on real hardware. A generated result is never shown as reviewed or verified.
Where do prices and stock come from?
From DigiKey and Mouser, both shown with their full price breaks, the source and when they were fetched. Exports note the source and time too. We do not estimate a price we were not given.
Why could a datasheet not be found or downloaded?
Some manufacturers refuse downloads from servers. When that happens the distributor's link is kept on the part: open it in your browser, download the PDF and upload it on the part's page. Its parameters and figures can then be read from it.
What uses credits?
AI actions such as drafting a solution or reviewing a design. Searching, importing, prices and most reading are not charged, and reading datasheets is free during the beta. Each AI button says what it costs and what you have left today; Usage & settings shows the month.
Who can see my assets and projects?
Only you. The team can see your account and counts (how many assets, how much storage), never their contents. The one exception is feedback: what you send here, including its pictures, is read by the team because you wrote it to them.
What happens when I edit something?
A new version is saved and the previous one is kept unchanged, so you can always see and return to what it was. If something changed since you opened it, you are asked to reload instead of overwriting it.
Can I delete things?
Deleting archives: the item leaves your lists but is kept, and you can restore it from the archive filter.
Which languages are supported?
English and Simplified Chinese. Switch in Usage & settings, or with the language button.
